Why a baby can not eat honey
Formerly it was very common for babies to be calm sweeten the pacifier with any sweet or honey product. This practice was condemned by the entire scientific community, not only for the negative impact it can have a lasting and effective breastfeeding, but also affect oral health.
We must not fail to mention that represents a risk to the health of children under one year old, who under no circumstances should eat honey, because a small amount can be extremely dangerous. Its consumption can lead to allergic reactions, which in effect can be prevented.
This product, whether from cane or bee, can contain spores of clostridium botulinum neurotoxin produced in the gut, immature infant. For this reason, when they eat contaminated food get sick more easily. Read the rest of this entry »
