The food is one of the cornerstones in the development and growth of the smallest. From an early age our children must give special relevance to breakfast and snacks, two sections of their diet that is most often overlooked.
In the morning, the little ones should take food rich in vitamins and, if possible, a homemade yogurt cake, give them energy and vitality that your body needs to function throughout the day. The same happens in the evenings in order to achieve the required resistance to withstand the physical and mental represent classes and extracurricular activities to which they are subjected.
The sweets are one of the dishes that most kids love. However, you always have to control the intake of sweets, because excess sugar levels can degenerate into a future in a morbidly obese or at risk of overweight; trigger, in turn, a multitude of diseases.
Therefore, it is better to go for the homemade desserts and pastries flee, the amount of saturated fat is considerable and may be more a prejudice than a benefit for children. For holidays, the cakes are some of the desserts tasted and praised by children.
We propose a recipe for chocolate cake with guava jelly, which is required for these ingredients: one cup flour, 3 eggs, 1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 4 tablespoons butter, 200 grams of chocolate crumbs, 1 cup milk, 2 medium ripe guavas, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla to taste, 2 heaping tablespoons of sugar.
For its preparation, first, looming flour with baking powder and reservations, you separate the eggs and beat whites until stiff and set aside. On the other hand, beat butter with sugar and egg yolks, mix the flour, add after and continue stirring. Then we beat it all together with ground chocolate and milk and, once you’ve mixed well, pour into a mold in the oven for 25 minutes.
On the other hand, for the jam, wash, peel and cut into pieces guavas, boil a half cup of water in a saucepan and when it reaches the boiling point add the cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar. At the moment we will begin to reduce the vanilla and let it thicken.
Once you extract the mold from the oven, let cool the cake, release it from the mould and to grease the marmalade on the surface, adorning with gobbets of orange. Your children enjoy this dessert on breakfast and snacks and recover the energy lost during the day.
