How to prevent scalds in babies
It is common for babies who use diapers are scalded frequently and one if the season is warm as summer. The dermatitis, diaper rash or scalds are produced in the skin of the baby because of the direct contact with urine, feces and on some occasions the same material of the diaper.
To avoid that the small scald constantly must take into account some important recommendations. It is preferable that the baby’s bottom is washed with warm water direct from the tap, without the possibility must then be washed to remove using cotton waste, and warm water in a container. We suggest that the tissues or wipes are used as a last option because they contain alcohol and can irritate the skin more hurt.
At times the mother will then need to use some soap for washing, it must be special baby and odorless with a neutral pH. Its use should be kept to a minimum; it should not rub hard and should be rinsed with water so that the skin is not irritated.
Some mothers also tend to apply creams or talc after washing the area, but it is best not to, because when coupled with urine and excrement in the diaper baby will become a mass, which can create more inflammation.
Ideally, change diapers frequently, you should be aware of how many times you urinate and defecate for times immediately, put a new diaper. If the baby is always climbing, it is better to decrease the amount of sugar in their porridge as the sugar tends to irritate and modifies bowel germs. Another point that should be taken into account is that every time the baby can be diaper remains as it is shown that direct contact of skin with the air causing scalds strengthens milder and less frequent.
