Food allergy in children between 2 and 4 years
Children between two and four years, as well as other ages and even adults, can suffer allergic reactions to food, although in some cases symptoms may be from other conditions. However, it is said that six percent of the world’s children have some food allergies. It is therefore important to learn how the allergies, so you can recognize them by their early symptoms, if your child suddenly shows them.
When your child has a food allergy, your body treats certain foods as a dangerous invader so it starts to release its attack against the immune system. Usually when this happens for the first time your child’s body produces an antibody called IgE, which is a protein that can detect the food, so if your child eats it again, this antibody will tell your immune system fight the food.
