A small localized swelling at the navel indeed is the umbilical hernia. One problem is quite common in children and can create concern to parents, but presents no health risk. The umbilical hernia is not to be confused with inguinal hernia, as in this case should take some precautions.

The moans of the child they increase pressure inside the belly, slightly swelling abdomen. Consequently, the small swelling is more visible, because it is located just above the umbilical scar.
